Israel Abrams, the No. 3 quarterback in the Rivals Industry Ranking and No. 44 overall in the 2027 cycle, has a busy calendar lined up for Kentucky. He plans an unofficial visit on March 13 and a return for an official visit on June 19. Abrams, a 6-foot-4, 194-pound standout from Illinois, burst onto the scene last fall with 4,072 passing yards and 40 touchdowns, plus a rushing score, helping Montini Catholic win a Class 4A State Championship with a 47-33 victory.

Barnes praised Kentucky coach Kolby Smith’s teaching and noted the program’s genuine interest as crucial factors in their ongoing recruitment.
