Get ready for a powerful cinematic experience with 'Clika', a film that's about to take the nation by storm!
This inspiring story, written and produced by Wilbraham's very own Sean McBride, is a testament to the American dream and the power of representation.
The American Dream: A Migrant's Perspective
'Clika' follows the journey of Chito, a Mexican American migrant worker, as he navigates the fields and pursues his passion for music. McBride, in a recent interview, shared his vision:
"We wanted to capture that pivotal moment when an artist goes from struggling to making it big. From the fear of losing their home to the joy of fulfilling their mother's dreams."

But here's where it gets controversial...
Breaking Stereotypes: Mexican Representation in Media
Music producer Jimmy Humilde, through his production company Rancho Humilde, aims to challenge the lack of Mexican representation in the movie industry. With 'Clika' being their debut film, they strive to showcase the talent and stories of Mexican artists.
"The Latino music industry has been dominated by Puerto Ricans and Cubans, but Mexicans have been underrepresented," McBride explains.
And this is the part most people miss...
The Power of Collaboration
McBride and his writing partner, Michael Greene, had the unique opportunity to work closely with Humilde and his team. They utilized all the resources at Rancho Humilde to create an authentic and compelling narrative.
"We were lucky to have access to their tools and expertise. It was like playing with all the toys we've always wanted!"
McBride's connection to his hometown of Wilbraham and his early education about America's cultural diversity further inspired his work. He hopes 'Clika' will offer a fresh perspective on the contributions of migrant workers.
"It's important to see the hard work and dedication of these individuals. They are an integral part of the American way of life."
A Star-Studded Cast
'Clika' boasts an impressive lineup, led by Jay Dee as Chito, alongside Nana Ponceleon, Josh Benitez, and more.
